How To Prevent Skin Cancer and Sun Damage

May 14 2012 · Filed under Beauty Health & Wellbeing Women · 0 COMMENTS

Taking care of your skin is very important, but unfortunately, many of the items which we would come into contact with on a regular basis are damaging to the skin as well as to the rest of our body. This is the case when you are talking about exposure to the sun, and overexposure can really be harmful in a number of different ways. Not only can exposure to the sun for long amounts of time promote early aging of the skin, it can also lead to an increased possibility for skin cancer and other serious problems. What can you do when you need to be out in the sun in order to protect your skin is much as possible?

One of the things that you can do is to use a high quality sunscreen. Instead of just picking up a run-of-the-mill sunscreen from the store, you should opt for high quality products, such as Elta sunscreen, La Roche Posay Sunscreen or perhaps NIA24 sunscreen (Source: At-Home Med Spa – La Roche Posay Sunscreen). Of course, you will likely have your favorite, but it is important to do some research to ensure that they are as safe as possible for your skin. It is also a good idea that you wear protective clothing to limit your exposure to the sun as well. Many different clothing lines are available that can assist in making sure that you are able to enjoy being outdoors without having to worry about excessive damage occurring as a result of UV rays from the sun.

Things to do this Summer: Surfing!

May 3 2012 · Filed under Health & Wellbeing Hobbies · 3 COMMENTS

Summer is almost here and June and July will be busy for everyone. Whether your going on vacation or trying something new. I definitely want to hit some nice beaches, Maybe in Dubai, and just enjoy the waves. Some of my other friends are trying new things, which I thought were exciting to try out because I have never done it myself. It’s Surfing! I would be a COMPLETE newbie and actually, come to think of it, I would be terrible at it. I do think if you go to the popular beaches, you will definitely find a lot of Surfers.

If you want to try surfing or learning how to swim this summer (Just Like I do)…hey better LATE than NEVER, right? You might want to be well prepared:

1) Obviously, getting the right apparel for surfing requires a woman getting asymmetric hem women’s surf clothing and aqua dynamic wetsuits

2) I believe durable surfboards is another important prop to take when your going on a surfing trip.

3) A good Tutor or teacher to give you beginner lessons of course

Anything else, really would be up to you. If you know of anything else that is super essential when going on a surfing trip or learning how to surf, let me know!

Anyone tried surfing or does surfing as leisure activity?

There are many natural ways one can lose weight, especially by doing something as easy as drinking a cup of tea of coffee. Today, you can easily find coffee and teas that can help your body receive all the essential antioxidants and give you the energy boost you need throughout the day. The added energy boost can help you exercise more and help you reach your goal weight within minimal amount of time. So what are these magic coffees or teas that can help burn fat and boost your metabolism for faster weight loss results? Well, actually there are a couple and they might even be under your noise.

Coffee in general can help energize you enough for a fat busting workout. The caffeine rush can help you stay more focused and alert in whatever you might be doing. A lot of people love Organo Gold coffee and choose it as their daily morning coffee to feel alert and energized. What is so special and beneficial about Oregano Gold coffee? It contains pure Certified Organic Ganoderma Lucidum. This ingredient is has many health benefits, some of which include relief of minor aches and pains, anti allergy, lowering blood pressure, getting your antioxidants, lowering of serum cholesterol levels, detoxification of your body and liver, making your immune system stronger, and many many more. There are various oregano coffees to choose from and organo gold coffee is one of the popular ones with great taste and added health benefits.

If your not a coffee lover, then going for Teas (like I do) can be more for you. One of most beneficial teas for both weight management and weight loss in the long run is Green Tea. Green tea helps you burn fat and curbs your appetite to help you stay in shape and even lose weight with an added exercise and health plan. To actually have green tea work, you should take it about 2-3 times a day, after meals and watch yourself get healthier overtime. Green tea works slowly and helps you lose weight in an healthier way. In conclusion, to acheive a healthy lifestyle one must make healthier choices too. Just depending on an weight loss product is not the only way to lose weight. You have to follow a big lifestyle change by exercising a lot more and eating right. Once you make these changes you will surely see results. Coffee and tea are both great additions to your goals and can help you reach it quicker.

Add Protein to your diet

Apr 23 2012 · Filed under Food Health & Wellbeing Weight Loss · 1 COMMENTS

Protein is a great way to boost any weight loss program and is also a very important part of it. With protein your helping your body build muscles, which in turn helps your body burn fat. There are many ways you can get protein in your diet, which include, supplements, shakes, food such as fish and eggs. Having a good amount of protein can also help you feel more satisfied and make you eat less.

A great way I usually get my daily protein intake is through Protein Shakes. I drink a shake once a day. A great website to get some great protein supplements and other high quality protein products from to jump start your protein intake is nutritionfix.com.

Other great ways to boost your protein intake is through cottage cheese, egg whites, eating your vegetables, and even peanut butter. Try to get as much organic items as possible. It might get expensive but your actually doing more good for your health and body. Meat is obviously the best way to get protein but what if your a vegeterian?

There are still ways also! Don’t fear! Adding foods such as beans, lentils, nuts and Quinoa can be super beneficial as well. If your making the smart choice of going pro protein then your on your way to a healthy lifestyle and positive changes! Good luck!

Best Six Pack Ab Exercises for Women

A woman’s body is different from a man’s body; Hence, exercise results differs for both sexes. It is because of the physical dissimilarity, that when women do their ab workouts, the results are different from what men obtain. Women, who exercise to achieve six-pack abs, can get a chiselled midriff, while they maintain their womanly curves at the same time.

If you plan to work out your midriff through a six-pack ab exercise routine, you probably have to do some research on this and you will find that there are few women centric exercises which can help you tone and sculpt your midriff. There may not be many exercise routines for women to build six-packs. However, do not lose heart, as this article presents the best tips on how to get that six-pack abs.

Before discussing the exercise routines, it is important to know the major criteria that can help you to build the perfect abs. Following are the three key factors that you need to follow while doing ab workouts:

1.   Exercise

2.   Diet

3.   Mental Strength

A perfect blend of the above three is essential to achieve the perfect six-pack abs. Slacking in any one of these would result in a failure. For muscle strengthening, along with the above, you can get an ab belt at discount through a flex belt coupon and use it frequently.

This article talks about the exercise routines for women to achieve six-pack abs. Do the following exercise regularly, increasing the pace and duration as you progress.

Mountain Climber Using a Swiss Ball

You will need a Swiss ball for this routine. Mountain climber is the most common exercise for building six-packs. Place the Swiss ball on the floor and place your hands on it with a shoulder length distance between them.  Slowly pull one leg up, making the knee touch the chest. Contract the ab muscles and feel the muscles tighten. Stay in this position for a count of 10 and slowly return the leg back to the starting position. Follow the same procedure with the other leg. Initially, you can do this exercise for 15 reps with each leg, per session. Then, you can gradually increase the count as you get used to it.

Jackknife Using the Swiss Ball

This is another great exercise for women who want to build great abs. You need a Swiss ball for this exercise as well. This is a little tricky to do and you may require assistance to get into the specific posture. Keep your legs next to the Swiss ball and get into a position of doing push-ups. Raise your legs (or have someone help you do so) and place your feet on the Swiss ball, such that they are a foot apart. Now, use your feet and roll the Swiss ball closer to your chest. Tighten the ab muscles, as you move the Swiss ball closer to your chest. Try to bring it as close as possible to the chest and then push it back the same way to the starting position. You can repeat this exercise for 15 times and can increase it with time.

Crunch like Men

Don’t worry, if you don’t own a Swiss ball. You can do the same ab workouts that men do. They work for women as well. However, the results are not quick as they are for men because of the physiology differences between men and women. With little patience and dedication, you can achieve your dream six-pack on long-term.
