My Weight Loss Efforts Updates
Okay so, for the past year (to all my readers that do know about this) I have been struggling like crazy to shed the last few lbs off of me. It’s a daily struggle for me because my body is very stubborn. I’ve pretty much struggled to keep a healthy weight ever since high school. For me, its been a constant battle and probably will continue to be for as long as I live. I cant slack off because when i do, I just gain my weight back. Anyway, good news is, I’ve switched up my diet routine a bit and so far is a nice slow steady weight loss. I don’t mind that as long as I don’t gain it back. I went to the doctor and found out I need to lose about 15 more lbs to be a healthy BMI. I honestly don’t check my weight daily because it just depresses me. Even finding that out at the doctor totally depressed me.
I recently started to fit into my size 7 jeans from like 2007 ….(yeah I saved them) and I was totally ecstatic. Its a good sign because I really want to go down to a size 5. That’s when I felt super sexy. What have I been doing?
The past 3 months, I had been super fatigued. I was going online and reading about all the best diets one can possibly do to lose weight quick. I think I wanted quick quick results. I also came across how to improve your figure with the help of this site, and read through some stories and ways on how to be healthy. Some good tips are provided. But anyway, for my own regime I decided to go with the following:
1) I did a 7 day detox first,—this sorta helped after day 4. It wasn’t too bad but I think my body had already lost a lot of weight due to the diet pills I was taking.
2) I am now on a strict salad diet. I eat a lot of greens – spinach ,lettuce, and argula mostly. I eat lots of grape tomatoes and egg whites too. This diet is def. working because you can never be constipated on this at all!
3) I take HOODIA pills (pure hoodia about 500mg) and Caffeine pills for energy. That’s all I’m taking. I quit on thermogenic pills because of the scare of getting liver damage in the long run. Stimulants are not good for you. You are better off taking GREEN TEA 1000mg or something. Its strong and will get the job done. I remember taking ONLY green tea like 3 times a day and I was my skinniest at about 108lbs. I will probably add green tea pills as well.
4) Take Vitamin D, or a multivitamin. —-> This has really helped me not pass out on a daily basis. Haha!
So Anyone else doing some major diet thats working?
I’ve been getting back in shape and honestly, eating balanced is better than eating less. Foods like rice or oatmeal help to jump start your metabolism so they are great to eat in the morning. I also read that lettuce is only fiber so salads are better if made out of spinach or kale or something with vitamins.
Most important though is eating small portions throughout the day. Eating less and lighter foods puts your body in survival (fat storage) mode. Try eating lots of water based foods like watermelon throughout the day at regular intervals.
I’m trying to make healthier lifestyle changes so the idea of eating a lot less doesn’t appeal to me. But i know these tips let you feel full and have natural energy while losing weight. I hope you can try some of this.
I’ve been working since starting the year on loosing weight. Just alone last summer, in 2012, I gained 10lbs while spending a month in Germany!!! And even though I lost the first 5 pounds quickly when I was back home, the other 5 added up to my already overweight. So, this year, I’ve done a big effort!! It’s specially hard because my eatings habits are actually not too bad – I mostly don’t use oil, I barely eat any fried food, my dinners were rather light, so, it’s very frustrating that I keep gaining weight!!
I started doing sports and playing Just Dance, and I was developing muscle in my legs and feeling pretty well, but the fat around my face and my tummy wasn’t gone.
I entered Weight Watchers and was regularly there for about four months. It worked a bit, but it was very slow paced, and you have to pay every week for the meetings and so… Besides, sometimes I’d gain weight and it would take me like three weeks to get it down again! So, it was way too slow and I was getting stuck…
I finally went to a doctor I got recommended, who has a treatment and a super strict diet, and that’s what I’ve been doing since May. It’s been hard, because I cannot eat ANY sugar – not even fruits, and no carbs. So, I basically eat a lot of veggies and proteins. But since May, I’ve lost 13 lbs! The difference is very obvious, and I finally am fitting in my clothes again :D I’m approaching the end of my treatment/diet, and the things is, I got this doctor recommended because there is supposedly no rebound after it, unless you go eating like crazy. But it is really very strict because if you break the diet, even for a bit, you get stuck for some days, sometimes weeks. Besides, me and my sister (we are doing this together) have gotten very creative with recipes that are different and fit our diet :D
So, that’s been my experience!!
I do a lot of weightlifting because I like to eat. I need all the protein I could get to help me build my muscles and increase my metabolism. My number didn’t go down that much, but I began having trouble pinching myself. That means my body is sculpting itself and the muscle to fat ratio has increased. Good thing about this is that due to higher metabolism, I actually get more hungry, thereby justifying bigger meals. It’s a nice cycle. I get to feed/reward myself with healthy food all sculpting my form. Fat loss is secondary at this point. It just happens over time. :)
I am female btw.
